KEMI Tools
PCB Design Inspector
Upload your submission (Gerber, drill, and CAD source if available). We inspect it against the design rules and return a report PDF with violations marked on the board image.
Checking…
Notes
- · A single-board ZIP, a bundle, or several files at once — you get one report either way.
- · Including the CAD source (e.g. .fbrd) lets us read the netlist for a far more accurate result. Gerber-only also works.
- · Runs automatically around the clock — about 1-5 minutes for one board, longer for a bundle.
- · Keep this page open — the download button appears as soon as it's done.
- · Uploaded files and results are deleted periodically after processing.
What gets checked
This automates the manual design review. We parse your Gerber and drill files, reconstruct the board, and grade each item below against the rules — the report marks every violation on the board image.
- · Power trace width — whether power/GND nets meet the minimum width
- · Daisy chains — power hopping part-to-part, which accumulates voltage drop
- · Clearance — minimum spacing between traces and pads
- · Bypass capacitors — placed and connected near IC power pins
- · Unrouted nets, board thickness and other completeness items
FAQ
What files do I upload?
A single ZIP with Gerber and drill files. Fusion 360 (Eagle) users: include the CAD source (.fbrd) so the netlist can be read — accuracy improves a lot.
Why do I need to sign in?
The inspector uses real server resources, so access is by Google sign-in with approval. First time here? Press the request-access button and we open it after review.
What does the report contain?
A pass/fail verdict per item, with violations marked in colour on the board image, down to file names and coordinates — ready to use for rework.
Does Gerber-only work?
Yes, but without net information power nets must be inferred from copper patterns, so some checks lose accuracy. Include the CAD source when you can.
Can the rule set be customised?
It is currently fixed to the standard rule set. For inspection against your company's own rules, contact us via the request page.
