FAQ

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. Parsing and rendering happen entirely in your browser — even STEP/IGES conversion runs locally via WASM. (Only if you press 'Quote this model' are files handed to our quote console.)

STEP files load slowly.

STEP/IGES needs a one-time ~7MB WASM CAD engine download, so the first load takes a few seconds. Large assemblies also take longer to convert.

Dimensions look way off.

STL/OBJ carry no unit info, so we assume millimeters. Models saved in inches or meters will appear 25.4× or 1000× off — check units in your CAD tool.
